How To Promote A Website

Wednesday, August 4th, 2010

So you already have a website and you’re ready to keep up with your competitors. You suddenly recognize that the market for you to plan to reach is not reaching in for you and you become conscious that you simply need to promote an individual’s internet site. You ask yourself, do you need to hire someone who can promote the money site or can you do it yourself?

If you have the financial powers to do it, by all means it is ones own choice. However if you lack the dough and need to fatten up that piggy bank then here are some things that you simply can do for free:

1. Look decent and feel useful inside and out. Looking useful in terms of a easy and strategically well developed internet site is one thing but having great content material is very much of the essence. Some people actually care as much as the packaging as to the quality that the internet site offers. Aside out of the chic and professional looking web design, what’s in it does matter. Update your own articles and innovate, this catches people’s attention. Offer honest to goodness products, services and content material. You don’t need to say, “thank you please come again” to an individual’s customers if you offer the best.
2. Learn to speak an individual’s website. Whether you advertise your web-site through calling cards or emails make sure you talk the talk in promoting an individual’s money site. Acknowledge an individual’s web-site in anyway that you simply can. Every person you meet or every post you make, either in blogs or in articles, is a marketing and advertising opportunity. Find approaches to spread the word and an individual’s link.
3. Be friendly. Technically, one of the ways to become accessible to your client is to become search engine friendly. Be wise in using key terms that fit an individual’s web-site. The more natural the flow of traffic in your web site the better the reputation you get through search engines making you one of the avid top search engine lister.
4. Online Marketing and advertising is the new thing. This term is very broad and involves many kinds. One of the straightforward ways to market ones own products or services is to have a newsletter. In this way people who have availed of the service, which belongs to an individual’s market of consumers, are informed and kept abreast.
5. Lastly, one of the much known ways to promote an individual’s internet site is through famous online social networks. Sites like facebook can help you create a fan page; there you can be accessible to millions of members. There are many sites also that you can use like Twitter and Plurk. Post great written content together with ones own URL and for sure, you not only keep your profile active but in addition, you may promote your money site as well.

Now, that steps in promoting a website has been laid out, all you have to do is to try it for yourself and apply it on ones own own business. Promote an individual’s money site now.

You can utilize many methods to promote your website. The three advanced Conversion videos given in Epic Traffic Systems are the key to success online. They help you get more visitors to your site.

Oracles, Advisers And More

Tuesday, July 27th, 2010

Can online trends be redefined? You bet! I was always hoping to see an online academy/entertainment portal with live chat hosts, and RapidHI blew my mind. I could have my future told by a wise oracle-looking lady, and then I got cooking tips from a hobby chef and talked with a fine young lady from Europe about casual stuff.

The site itself is well built, they got a simple and fitting design, an online chat support (they’re always online), and an easy registration process as I fiddled through. I checked out the prices, so I could make some easy bucks as a chat host after getting a little practice in one of the categories, which are: Esoterics, Travel Guidance, Cooking tips, Getting fit and Soul mates.

Some of the friendly faces were calling even from the thumbnails I saw, and the free chat area just convinced me. How can it be any better? – I asked. Well, after a few days I finally convinced myself to give it a shot, but I was quite scared. I thought it is just a site where I Might get scammed after I fidget through a complicated and over described sign up page, but was I wrong! In a minute I was on a 1-on-1 session with a friendly host discreetly talking about love, getting old and all the heavy stuff. Since I grown up in a rural environment where old people gain a little more respect and attention from the youth than in big cities, I have picked up some knowledge in tarot cards, so I picked a host from the Esoterics category and tested her. I was convinced – Definitely trustworthy! Someone providing powerful knowledge, just for a small income, can it be beneficial for them?

And yes, it can be a really good income, as paying members are required to pay a small fee for 1-on-1 chat, which is preceded by a free chat area. The hosts are as friendly in free chat area as they are in the 1-on-1 chat sessions, so you shouldn’t be afraid of nonchalance or being neglected.

Come on, give it a try! I am pretty sure I will check in for more features or categories.

The Unknown And Largely Ignored Secrets Of Effective Website Design

Tuesday, July 13th, 2010

Most people know what they like, BUT — and it’s a big BUT—they rarely know what works when it comes to web design. As a marketing expert I’ve seen it all.here are some key secrets to getting the most from your website’s design.

Always choose substance, functionality, and ease of use over style! This doesn’t mean your site can’t be fashionable, but do not let style destroy usability and effectiveness.

Forget intro pages where you make people wait for a Flash show before they get into your site. Those pages are frustrating and a great way to get a visitor to hit the back button.

Make sure your site loads fast!

Put the main navigation menu at the top or on the left, never at the right or at the bottom. Depending on the screen size of the person viewing the website, the menu could disappear off screen because the user has to scroll.

Make your flash movie large enough to be exciting and showcase your business in pictures.

Design your home page in such a way that keeps all of your upcoming events, products, and offers right in front of your website visitors. This can either be a banner ad that changes itself with each new offer or scrolling news if more fitting for your industry. Do not make your website visitors log in to the website and go look for this information!

You can also use hover pages for this but don’t overuse them. Change the featured product or item often.

If you want new customers, make sure you have a prominent box on your home page that collects data and offers a quick and prominent route to more information about your products and services.

Have adequate copy on your home page to provide a decent overview of your business and help aid your placement in search engine rankings such as Google and Bing. This means, in general at least 150–200 words is the bare minimum; 400 words are better. Most web designers act as if they are afraid of words or feel that words pollute their beautiful designs. IGNORE them; you need text to sell your web traffic and to help generate better search engine rankings. Always err on the side of too much information and you will hardly ever go wrong. People will decide for themselves what information is significant to them and what is too much!

Make your copy easy to read, in a uncomplicated typeface with no background color. Over sixty percent of all websites are unreadable because they are created by teenagers with great eyesight. Anything less than 10-point Times is unacceptable and bigger is always better. Not from a design viewpoint, but from a RESULTS viewpoint!

The same holds true for reverse type or any graphical element that makes reading your site harder; JUST DO NOT DO IT!

Make sure all your key pages have comprehensive sales presentations, not just a list of bullet points that do not provide enough information. This is a marketing 101 error made by 99% of all websites!

Make the login area for clients, partners, customers, or website members extremely easy to find.

Make sure the visitor’s “eye path” is simple and straightforward. People usually read from top to bottom and left to right. Too many distractions cause a pinball effect — that never helps results.

Put a call to action at the bottom of every single page of your website, something like “Click Here to Request More Information!”.

Put customer testimonials at the top of every single page.

Make all icons or thumbnails clickable. Don’t make visitors work to find the word to click on; make it easy.

Your graphic designer, website company, and ad agency will not like following these web principles, but your company’s accountant will when he or she sees how much more effective your site is at generating business!

The closer you stick to these design guidelines, the more effective your website will be.

Upcoming New Trend Of Live Interaction

Wednesday, June 30th, 2010

It is not so easy to come up with something different when it comes to online services. Today’s review is about RapidHI.com; their noble goal is to connect people in need with experts who can help them find remedies for issues in various topics.

“RapidHI.com has started in the first months of 2010; during its rehearsal period there were only a few models online and the background color was blue” – said the Executive of RapidHI. “Our goal is to be the home of mainstream Cam2Cam community on the internet. We purvey the latest available streaming technology and provide excellent chat hosts for sake of best user experience.” – he added.

Pros:

Easy-to-use interface, Friendly chat hosts, Interesting topics; Relatively cheap; Accepts all major credit card brands; Second based billing; 24/7 Customer Support.

Cons:

When we visited RapidHI.com there were “only” 40 models online; a forum or blog would be handy to have so members could share their experiences with each other and maybe give feedbacks about the site. As the site is still developing, they are currently looking for chat hosts and user feedbacks.

Anybody can register as a chat host at RapidHI.com who fits into at least one of their categories: Hobby Chefs, Travel Advisers, Soul mates, Personal Trainers and Esoterics.

It is important to add that the Esoterics category is taken most seriously amongst the other categories. There are wise, professional and very supportive hosts who definitely have what it takes to be a trustworthy and beloved personal guru.

Based on our experience it is a great site with crystal clear camera streams, high quality audio (most of the hosts have this feature too) and friendly chat hosts. It is highly recommended for people who want to have really nice chats with various people around the globe.

Will this be the new craze? Ask RapidHI’s Esoteric Chat Hosts for details!

Can RapidHi Do It?

Monday, June 28th, 2010

Seems like there is a website that will turn the meaning of “being online” around. RapidHI is a great new site where you can chat with hosts who have webcam, and who are good in a category the website offers. It can be used for education, having fun or to hear about interesting things.

The site is clean and simple: you can pick a category on the left side, which currently are: Get Fit, Cooking Tips, Soulmates, Travel Advisers and Esoterics. By clicking on a category, a sheet of chat hosts is visible with thumbnails, so you can pick a host to chat with. If the host is in ‘Free Chat’, then you can chat freely, but to take a host on 1-on-1 chat, you need to be a Member, thus paying a small amount (second-based).

The biggest category at the moment is “Esoterics”, we can see many professional fortune-tellers or astrologers online, ready to answer any question. We got very professional service, and the other categories seemed to have professionals as well, but we could also find chat hosts who are just experimenting with this kind of job, and as they said, it is a very good way to earn some easy money. They mentioned there is a pretty easy registration system, so anyone should consider registering as a chat host who feels even a little bit talented in any category that is on the site.

In the Travel Advisers category you can get tips about getting somewhere as a tourist, like what to do, what to say, what to be careful of. In Cooking Tips you can get useful kitchen-related advices, perfect for hobby chefs! In Get Fit you can have a personal trainer who helps you become and stay healthy, and at Soul Mates, you can literally talk about anything that is personal.

All in all, RapidHI seems to be a very useful and innovative website with many more possibilities to offer in the future. You can be a curious visitor or someone who wants to earn some money; it can come in very handy.

Applying the Most Effective Solution Called Spam Blockers

Sunday, May 9th, 2010

Sorting through email can be a tedious task. This is even more difficult if you have numerous spam mails that fill up your inbox. You might often get many undesirable mails and find yourself wasting time deleting them from your inbox. These spam mails can be taken care of by spam blockers. Spam blockers are software package that keep you from receiving junk email. You will significantly reduce the number of spam you get by using one of the spam blockers available nowadays

A spam blocker works through the server account on your email. It looks your inbox and analyses all the mail you are sent. It then prevents unwanted mail and mails that contain computer viruses from reaching your inbox. A spam blocker also forbids mails containing pornography and other adult content from filling your inbox. In addition to this, any mail that cannot be distinctly marked as spam is either moved to a separate folder or quarantined in your inbox. These mails are commonly newsletters and other online subscriptions that you have not been reading recently. Spam blockers will await your conclusion on the mail in question. After 30 days, such emails will be deleted by the most of the spam blockers.

Another advantage of spam blockers is the fact that they are able to adjust. The software will remember your exclusion list as well as make a note of any new mails that you have deemed as spam. Therefore, spam blockers are always updated in order tp get the best efficiency and effectiveness. When looking to purchase one of the numerous spam blockers available today, you must first find and see which spam blockers are compatible with your email provider. Once you have done this, you must determine how much you are willing to pay for your spam blocker software system.

You will generally have to pay a monthly fee for most spam blockers. Nevertheless, prices tend to vary from around three dollars to twenty dollars per month. Another one of the advantage of using spam blockers is that they can be easily set up on your computer. Moreover, unlike spam filters, spam blockers delete unwanted mail. So you will waste less time sorting through your inbox. Spam blockers are extremely handy to have because they remove undesirable mail and protect your inbox from things like viruses. Therefore, you should set up one and enjoy the benefits that come with them.

Finding the Best Way to Block Junk Email

Sunday, May 9th, 2010

People do not know that they are usually responsive for the spam they get in the email. Even if you don’t have a spam filter, you can block junk email by avoiding to give your email address lightly. When you give your details on a web site that requires registration, you create the premises for spam. Here are just a few examples of the situations on which you disclosed your email address: friends, white or yellow pages, business card, sign-up for software downloads, online forums, chat rooms, web pages on which you searched for information, and the list doesn’t stop here.

Other than prevention, the most common way to block junk email is by using software tools such as spam blockers or spam filters. Installed either on the personal computer or on the server, such programs perform a thorough check of all incoming mails, filtering, quarantining and deleting those messages that correspond to the description of unwanted mail. The efficiency with which such tools block junk email depends on design and features. The best software available will block up to 99% of spam, although there is no program capable of 100% anti-spam efficiency.

You can block junk email or at least limit it by creating a temporary email also known as fake address account. The purpose here is to use such a temporary email only once when you need to access some information that is not otherwise possible. When you avoid disclosing your day-to-day email address, the chances of being detected by spammers are a lot lower. This should not be a reason for discarding email filtering, even if you act cautiously online. Thanks to a good filter or blocker that worksbetween the email program and the email server, you can detect any message that can be considered spam.

Paid and free solutions can both be downloaded. Before shopping for commercial products, look for the softwares that come for free and have an over 90% efficiency rate. Test every product before buying it; if this is not possible, immediately consider another option. At present the market has been flooded by hundreds of commercial softwares designed to block junk email, and it should not be that hard to find an item that matches your PC specifics.

How Even The Smallest Business Can Profit From A Website

Saturday, May 1st, 2010

Every conceivable type of business can profit from having a website. If you have a business, however large or small, a good website can only be a bonus to you. Many small local businesses question whether or not they need to be visible to the entire world, but selling globally is not the only reason to have a website.

To demonstrate the point, we’ll make a hypothetical example of a small picket fence manufacturer. We’ll call the business ‘Stan’s Picket Fences.’ Stan has a small factory in a big city. He manufactures custom made picket fences and installs them within a fifty mile range of his premises. He had no desire to expand his range beyond that distance because going out on the road was already a time consuming chore and he only sold to about 25% of his leads.

One of his employees liked to make websites in his spare time and suggested he make a small website that featured a photograph album, some pictures of the manufacturing process and of the factory premises. There was nothing sophisticated about the site – it was like an online scrapbook album, but it worked brilliantly.

Within a couple of months, Stan found that he was getting far more sales from his initial visits to people’s homes because they already knew what he had to offer before he went to their homes. The first time they called, Stan told them they could see his portfolio online and if that was the sort of work they wanted, he would come out and see them. His website was already a huge timesaver for him.

Impressed with what the little website his employee made for him could do, Stan asked him what else they could do to make the site work even better. The employee suggested that they contact other local businesses who had websites and do link exchanges with them.

The first one to agree was a small home decor accents business that was located in their suburb. Stan made a prominent link to their site on his and they reciprocated. This simple link exchange resulted in a significant number of leads. Stan’s website had cost him only the hours that it took for his employee to make the site and a few dollars a month for a hosting service, but it was now increasing his profits by more than ten percent.

Then he got his big break. A home developer was just getting ready for a new property launch and agreed to do a link exchange with Stan. They had nearly completed a development of over a hundred homes. Everyone who went to their website saw Stan’s link and when they purchased their home, they remembered him and called him first when they wanted to fence in their house.

Stan never made any big changes to his website, but it continued to pay off for him. His business doubled in size and profitability. That’s how the internet can help even small businesses!

The Exchange Spam Blocker : A Smart Tool Made for Mailbox Protection

Wednesday, April 28th, 2010

Anyone who uses the Internet is familiar with spam, but to some email users the phenomenon is more harmful and bothersome than for others. Business owners have difficulties with identifying real messages from interested prospects from unsolicited mails. For business and personal assistance alike, software companies have created special anti-spam programs meant to block the access of unsolicited mail to inbox in more than 90% of cases. Released by Microsoft in May 2004, the Exchange spam blocker is a smart tool designed for mailbox protection. The target market for this product consists of individual users and companies that receive unsolicited commercial emails in very large numbers.

Exchange spam blocker is based on Microsoft SmartScreen technology that helps with the identification of a message that has a spam potential. The access of the unsolicited mail messages can thus be stopped at the mailbox or at the gateway depending on the settings. Other Microsoft tools were used before the launch of Exchange spam blocker. Nevertheless, the older technologies are no longer supported by updates, as it happens with the modern variants of the email protections. The present version of the Exchange spam blocker is capable of stopping spam in the tracks, allowing for good business development.

The Exchange spam blocker relies on a combination of techniques meant to identify the messages that could be spam; thus, besides the use of the Bayes filtering, the tool scans the messages for spam keywords and analyzes the spam headers. After the identification of the spam messages, the delete or read-mail options are controlled by the PC user. There are versions of the Exchange spam blocker that even notify a sender if his/her legitimate message has been taken for spam or not. Plus, the benefits of preventing spam on the server before downloading into the computer are manifold: less virus attacks and no malware unauthorized installation.

To sum it up, most of the tasks required for small business operations and personal usage should be covered by using the Exchange spam blocker. An issue with the 2003 version of the blocker consisted in the impossibility to export or import blocked messages or send domains. One further inconvenience is that the user has no clue about how much spam gets blocked and how well filters are functioning. It is important to test the settings and find out about the best mode to operate with the tool so that you can maximize the usage of your anti-spam tool.

Learning about the Function of Pop Up Spam Blocker

Saturday, April 17th, 2010

A pop up spam blocker is a program feature meant to prevent various unwanted windows from opening when you navigate on the Internet. The choice of the pop up spam blocker can be problematic if we consider the fact that there are good pop ups too. For instance, when you surf on the web and you try to access a larger version of a picture, you may not be able to view it because it opens as a pop-up window. If you know how to operate with the pop up spam blocker, you should be able to choose the settings that interest you so that you can be protected but also get to see the pop up windows that have relevance for you.

Normally all anti-spam tools that include a pop up spam blocker feature have detailed instructions about how to set the functions of the program at a convenient level. The main goal of the software consists of preventing the opening of advertisements. Some pop ups make web navigation possible while others become a real pest you can’t get rid of. And here is where the difficulty of designing a generally valid pop up spam blocker comes from. How can the software decide which pop ups are good and which are bad? Hard to tell and almost impossible to achieve in terms of present-day technology.

A good idea is to get a tool that can learn while you navigate online. With a smart pop up spam blocker, the web user should be able to close the pop up windows he/she does not want to view. As you select the pop-ups to be blocked, the tool creates a list that will be used in further Internet applications. The blocking options are possible by choosing a limit on the number of open windows, a block list with keywords or by selecting an 100% pop up blocking mode. Moreover, some pop up spam blocker appliances incorporate privacy protection technologies that don’t allow for home page resetting while also protecting your proxy settings.

It is a good idea to get a pop up spam blocker that enables both automatic and manual settings. In case you don’t want the program to close certain windows, there is an unlock button available or you can get the feature for management in the tool menu. It is important to know that Google and Yahoo! provide good toolbars meant to block pop-up ads. As long as the features are active and you use the web browser in question, you get protection.
